Anne Frank Project June 15Pathways World School, Gurgaon
A group of 30 students from Grades 4 and 5 from the Primary School have been engaged with the Anne Frank Project in this Summer Break. The Anne Frank House has a developed a thought provoking resource, a video diary based on the true story for this Project, addressing themes such as discrimination, scapegoating, the impact of making choices, and freedom.
The students have been actively collaborating with each other to discuss ideas, and to create presentations to express their understanding.
A session with the Anne Frank House representatives was organized on the 11th of June,2020. Students posed pertinent questions and were pleased to watch the video greetings from Ms. Anneke Adema, Deputy Head of the Mission, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Megha Malhotra, Director, Peaceworks (a partner of the Anne Frank House in India), and Ms. Priya Machado Taskforce India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, Educational Projects, Anne Frank House. They shared their valuable insights about Anne Frank’s Life.
Ms. Meenakshi Mahajan and Ms. Ilona Domanska, representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands also attended the session. We look forward to furthering this association with the Anne Frank House, for sustaining our students’ interest in World History.
