The Second International Schools Sports Organization (ISSO) National Games, held in Pune, took place from Saturday, 14th till Tuesday 16th of September. Students from numerous international schools across India participated in this event to challenge themselves and give themselves an opportunity that can change their lives. With sixty-five students in attendance, ranging from grade four to grade twelve, Pathways World School, Gurgaon participated in badminton, table tennis, tennis, and swimming and attained fifth position overall.

None of this would've been possible without the hard work, determination and dedication of our students and their mentors. It was a five-day long event including two days of travelling. On the first day, the students reached on time to get a sufficient amount of rest before the main event for the next three days.

It turns out that the event was a great success for the school as the students got high positions in all the four sports. In fact, the students who seized the opportunity have gotten a chance to represent ISSO in the SGFI Nationals which will be held later this year.

Besides achieving several laurels, the students came back with substantial learning in terms of techniques and tactics. They came back as more matured and improved players learning a variety of skills, from communication to critical thinking to taking spontaneous decisions. This is what made it possible for the students' win.

Michael Jordan once said, "Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it". This is something that teaches the students to learn from their failures and successes in order to perform even better in the next ISSO national games, so that they make the school proud, yet again.
