MYP Graduation Day April 11Pathways World School, Gurgaon
On Wednesday, 11th April, 2018 was yet another momentous event in the life of Pathwaysians – Students, Faculty, Parents and Grandparents.
Our second MYP Batch of Year 5 (Grade 10) students culminated their MYP journey The finesse, the pomp, the lights, the awards, the awardees, and the celebration – all were worth an achievement. The event was graced by our Guests of Honour, Ms. Sanjoli Chimni Pande and Mr. Pradeep Sangwan. Ms. Pande has over 24 years of experience across education, media, finance & investment banking. Mr. Sangwan is the founder of the NGO ‘Healing Himalayas Foundation’, focused to work towards building a pollution free environment. We were also honored to have amidst all, Mr. Prabhat Jain, Founder Director, Pathways Group of Schools.
Post the thanksgiving and ceremonial lighting of the lamp, the Middle School Principal, Mr. Sumit Dargan honored the Class of 2018 by his profound message which was directed to ‘engage’ one and all. This was followed by students’ speeches by Eesha Mathur and Sahil Balani of Grade 10 which brought forth nostalgic memories of their MYP lives.
The recipient of the coveted Chairman’s Special Award was Sahil Balani for exhibiting the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and in consideration of consistency in academic performance. Next, the Special Recognition Award – Mrs. Pushpa Jain Memorial Award was awarded to Parthav Maheshwari for his outstanding efforts. The School Director’s Awards were bestowed upon Chandan Samal and Urjashi Laha for living up to the school motto of ‘Learn, work, play, think, LIVE’.
The most prestigious Valedictorian Award was awarded to Urjashi Laha for her splendid efforts and performance throughout. One after the other, the awards in various other categories were distributed to the MYP class of 2018. Amidst the Award Ceremony, the audience also witnessed the high-spirited musical performances from the Middle School Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Hindustani Ensemble and Rock Band. Subsequently, the International Global Citizen Award (IGCA) was announced to the winners in the Gold category.
24 proud recipients of the Gold IGC Awards culminated their P.U.L.S.E. program which is intertwined in the MYP Program. IGCA is an International Program to promote and recognize development of young people, aged 11 and above, as better global citizens.
