Folktales by Grandparents August 28Pathways World School, Gurgaon
In conjunction with our ongoing Unit ‘Culture,’ PYP 5 students were graced with a unique and enchanting storytelling session, featuring two special guests; grandmothers of our students Siya Shanker and Arjun.
Mrs. Madan shared a captivating folktale ‘Chandan ka Ped’ from Madhya Pradesh, weaving a story of friendship between a Sandalwood tree and a Paalash tree, elegantly highlighting the timeless values of companionship and mutual respect.
Mrs. Shanker brought the story of Lord Krishna's birth to life, with the narration of 'Shri Krishna aur Kaaliya Naag,’ its alignment with the Janmashtami celebration, infused the lesson with deep cultural significance and joyous reverence.
The session enriched our students' understanding of Indian culture and traditions, deepening their appreciation for the diverse cultural tapestry that shapes our world.
