On Thursday, the boarding council held a cultural fest for the boarders from grades 3-12. The fest started with a ramp walk that involved each and every student. Five students were selected from each boarding to be judges upon the ramp walk and were then awarded prizes accordingly. The event involved multiple dance and musical performances from each residence. We were then served dinner, which was multicultural, including foods like rajbhog rasgulla, chhola bhatura, Thai fried rice, etc. To conclude the evening, we ended with a DJ party that was lots of fun for all. The children got a chance to express their distinct cultures by wearing their ethnic clothing and performing their traditions. This raised awareness about diverse cultures within our community. This was also the first event held by the boarding council this year and was completely student-led. When the night came to an end, everyone went back with lots of fun new memories.
