• Language Day in the Primary School September 21

Language learning is integral to exploring and sustaining cognitive and personal development and cultural identity.  

Monday, 14th of September 2020, was celebrated as the ‘Language Day’ in the Primary School to promote interest in different languages and love for reading. The day was filled with excitement and fun. Students dressed up as their favourite book characters or carried props from their favourite stories. There was innovation and creativity with the props and costumes created from things available at home.

They celebrated their love for characters by sharing their thoughts and views with their peers. While some classrooms created word clouds with different languages and learnt about Languages and their significance, others, along with the Hindi Facilitators virtually travelled to the Fountainhead School in Surat, Gujrat.

They exchanged their poems in a ‘Kavi Sammelan’. Students had a Mystery Author session with Candor International School, Bangalore where they listened to the story with rapt attention. They also attended a special Spanish lesson and learned a few greetings..

Students with their understanding of language contributed to an ongoing exploration into what it means to be internationally minded.
